Installing IBM Controller Disclosure Management

Install IBM Controller Disclosure Management Server on a supported Windows server to enable financial disclosure report creation and publishing.

Before you begin

Before you begin the installation, ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • You are logged in to the server as a Windows administrator.
  • IBM Controller is installed and running. IBM Controller and IBM Controller Disclosure Management can be installed on separate machines, provided they can communicate over the network.
  • A supported version of Microsoft SQL Server is installed. The IBM Controller database and the IBM Controller Disclosure Management database must reside on the same SQL Server instance.
  • You have the SQL Server instance hostname, port, database name, and credentials available.
  • You have obtained the IBM Controller Disclosure Management installation package (.msi) from IBM.
  • Sufficient disk space is available on the target server for the installation and application data.

About this task

IBM Controller Disclosure Management is installed as a Windows service using an MSI installer package. The installer deploys the application server runtime, creates the required directory structure, and registers the service. After installation, you configure the server by editing the server.env environment file before starting the service for the first time.

Procedure

  1. Copy the IBM Controller Disclosure Management MSI installation package to the target server.
  2. Right-click the MSI file and select Run as administrator to launch the installation wizard.
  3. On the Welcome screen, click Next.
  4. Read and accept the license agreement, then click Next.
  5. On the Destination Folder screen, accept the default installation directory or click Change to specify a custom path.
  6. Click Install to begin the installation.
  7. When the installation completes, click Finish to close the installation wizard.

Results

IBM Controller Disclosure Management Server is installed and running.

After completing the installation:
