Locking and unlocking projects

Lock a project to prevent further modifications after a financial report has been finalized or released. Unlock a project to re-enable editing.

About this task

A locked project cannot be edited, but it can still be copied and downloaded.

Procedure

  1. On the Projects page, locate the project.
  2. Click the Actions menu (⋮).
  3. Select Lock to lock the project, or select Unlock to remove the lock.

Results

Lock: The project is locked. A lock indicator is displayed next to the project name. All editing functions within the project workspace are disabled.

Unlock: The lock is removed and the project becomes editable and the latest data from IBM Controller is pulled.

What to do next

Note: Only users with the Unlock permission can unlock a project. Locking a project does not affect the ability to move it into a folder using drag-and-drop.
