Activating and deactivating users

Control whether a user can log in to IBM Controller Disclosure Management by activating or deactivating their account.

About this task

Deactivating a user prevents login access while preserving the user account and all associated data. The account can be reactivated at any time.

Procedure

  1. On the Users page, select the user.
  2. Toggle the Active status switch to activate or deactivate the user.

Results

Activated: The user can log in to the application.

Deactivated: The user cannot log in. The user account and all associated permissions remain in the system.

What to do next

Note: Deactivating a user performs a soft deactivation. The user record is retained, and the account can be reactivated without reconfiguring permissions.
