Creating an IUVU report regularly

You can set up an SAP batch job to create an IUVU report regularly.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP GUI, enter the transaction code SM36 to open the Define Background Job window.
  2. In the Define Background Job window, complete these steps:
    1. In the Job name field, type a name of your choice.
      For example, type:
      IUVU report
    2. In the Job class field, leave C as value.
    3. Click the Start condition icon Specify start condition (F5).
  3. In the Start Time window, take these steps:
    1. Click Date/Time.
    2. In the Scheduled start field that becomes available, specify a schedule and then click Period values.
  4. In the Period Values window, specify the interval at which the report is to be generated. For example, click monthly. Click the Save icon Save (Ctrl + S).
  5. In the Start Time window, click the Save icon Save (Ctrl + S).
    You are returned to the Define Background Job window, which shows the specified schedule under Job start and Job frequency.
  6. Click the Step icon Define steps (F6).
  7. In the Create Step 1 window, continue as follows:
    1. Under Program values, click ABAP program.
    2. Under ABAP program, in the Name field, type the name of the ABAP program, namely:
      /IBMECM/REPORTUSAGE
    3. Click the Print specifications icon Define print parameters (F5).
  8. In the Background Print Parameters window, under Number of pages, click Print all. Then click Properties.
  9. In the Spool Request Attributes window, complete these steps:
    1. Under General Properties, ensure that Print out immediately is selected for Time of printing.
    2. Expand Spool request.
    3. Double-click Name. In the Name field that becomes available, type /IBMECM/IUVU and then press Enter.
    4. Double-click Title. In the Title field that becomes available, type IUVU report and then press Enter.
    5. Expand Output Options and double-click Storage Mode. From the Storage Mode list that becomes available, select Archive only or Print and archive.
      More fields become available.
    6. In the Object Type field, type DRAW.
    7. In the Document Type field, type D01 or another document type for a print list.
    8. In the Information field, type UVU.
      You can use the value later to find the IUVU reporting print lists in the associated content repository.
    9. In the Text field, type IUVU report. Then click the Continue icon Continue (Shift+F1).
    10. Click the Continue icon Continue (Shift+F1).
      You are returned to the Background Print Parameters window.
  10. In the Background Print Parameters window, click the Continue icon Continue (Shift+F1).
  11. In the Create Step 1 window, click the Check input icon Check input (Enter) and then click the Save icon Save (Ctrl + S).
    The Step List Overview window shows the new step.
  12. Click the Back icon Back (F3) to return to the Define Background Job window.
  13. Click the Save icon Save (Ctrl + S) to release the job.

Results

The IUVU reports are created every month, starting on the planned start date, and are placed in the SAP ArchiveLink storage queue.
