Software requirements
Software prerequisites that must be in place before you deploy IBM Confidential Computing Containers for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (CCCO).
The following software must be installed and configured before deploying CCCO:
- Secure Execution-enabled KVM host
- A KVM host with IBM Secure Execution enabled is required.

- Valid contract
- A valid Encrypted Multi-Persona Contract is required. For more information, see About the contract.
- Logging instance
- A logging instance must be configured. For more information, see Logging for IBM Confidential Computing Containers for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
- IBM License Service and IBM License Metric Tool
- Both tools must be installed for license tracking and compliance. For more information, see License validation.
- Linux LPAR Hypervisor
- The Linux LPAR Hypervisor must be deployed. Subscription fees to third-party providers apply.
- Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform subscription
- An active subscription is required. For more information, see How to buy Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS (RHCOS)
- Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform with RHCOS must be installed on the SNO cluster.
