Computing resources
Computing resources are an operating system or application interface that use IBM® Cognos® Command Center agents to run automation tasks.
Scripts, plug-in tasks, executable files, or specific applications are associated to each computing resource type.
Click the Computing Resources tab in an ecosystem editor.
You can add a computing resource with the add icon 
or view
and edit an existing one by selecting a computing resource name in
the list.
For new computing resources, enter a name and select a resource
type. The resource type defines the category of computing resource
that is available for your process tasks. The default type for IBM Cognos Command Center is Host;
this defines a basic agent that runs scripts and executable files
on the host operating system. Other available resource types depend
on your particular IBM Cognos Command Center installation and installed
task plug-ins.
- Agent
- Defines the agent to be used for each environment that is defined for the ecosystem.
- Misc Properties
- Each computing resource type has a predefined list of required or optional properties. These properties may vary for each environment so must be filled in accordingly.
