Cloud Management Platform hardware requirements
Before you install IBM® Cloud Management Platform, review the following sets of requirements.
-
Refer to the IBM Cloud Private (ICP) minimum hardware requirements for a single node cluster and multi-node cluster. See the Hardware requirements and recommendations in ICP Knowledge Center.
-
Cloud Management Platform services consumes worker node resources on ICP, depending on the size of the Cloud Management Platform deployment. Worker nodes on ICP must have more resources allocated in addition to the IBM Cloud Private minimum requirements to allow for the deployment of larger workloads.
For the minimum hardware requirements of Cloud Management Platform, see Cloud Management Platform hardware requirements.
- In addition to the ICP hardware requirements, you must create persistent volumes in the ICP environment to store IBM Cloud Management Platform database. For more information on how to create persistent volumes in IBM Cloud Private, see the Minimum storage requirements section of ICP Hardware requirements and recommendations.
Persistent storage requirements for IBM Cloud Cost and Asset Management (ICCAM):
Storage type : nfs
Cloud Management Platform
| Persistent storage requirement | Size (GB) |
|---|---|
| core-couchdb-pv0 | 20 GB |
| :------------------------------- | :---------- |
| core-rabbitmq-pv0 | 20 GB |
Storage type : GlusterFS
Cloud Management Platform
| Persistent storage requirement | Size (GB) |
|---|---|
| core-couchdb-pv0 | 20 GB |
| :------------------------------- | :---------- |
| core-rabbitmq-pv0 | 20 GB |
Notes:
- For the procedure to create these persistent volumes in Cloud Management Platform, see Creating Cost and Asset Management persistent volumes.
- Regularly run backups for your CouchDB, RabbitMQ NFS file systems, GlusterFS, or other supported storage. Also, follow the backup steps for IBM Cloud Private to recover the platform during any major failure.
- You must manage your own storage system.
