Deploying the solution to the production environment for IBM Content Manager

After you complete the development and initial testing of a case management solution, you can deploy the solution to a Content Platform Engine production object store to make the solution available for your case workers. The IBM® Case Manager administration client does not package IBM Content Manager items types for deployment. Therefore, if you are using a IBM Content Manager repository for your solution, you must export any new or modified item types from your test repository and then import them to your production repository.

Procedure

To deploy item types from a IBM Content Manager test repository to a IBM Content Manager production repository:

  1. Ensure that your production environment is configured for integrating IBM Content Manager with IBM Case Manager. For more information, see the following topics:
  2. Use the IBM Content Manager system administration client to export the item types and their attributes from the test repository to an XML file. For more information, see Exporting data as XML.
  3. Import the item types from the XML file to the IBM Content Manager production repository. For more information see, Importing data.
  4. Deploy the solution from development environment to the production environment. For more information, see Deploying migrated solutions.
  5. Configure security for production environment. For more information, see Configuring security for IBM Content Manager solutions
