Installing IBM Forms
You can integrate IBM® Forms to add form templates and form data documents to your IBM Case Manager solution. If you plan to use this integration, you must first install IBM Forms in your IBM Case Manager environment.
Before you begin
About this task
The following diagram shows IBM Forms with IBM Case Manager in a highly available environment.

The IBM Forms server or server cluster is called by the IBM Case Manager server or server cluster to provide electronic forms rendering capabilities and capture user data into the form for storage in the IBM FileNet® P8.
If there is a WebForm Translator server installed on a remote server, there is no need to install it locally. Otherwise, user needs to select WebForm Translator component besides installing the ICM Integrator.
Procedure
To install IBM Forms:
- Find the IBM Forms compressed file for your operating system. Extract all of the files and folders to a temporary directory on your system.
- Double-click the appropriate executable file to start the IBM Forms server installation program.
- Select the installation language and click OK.
- Click Next. Then, accept the license agreement.
- After IBM Autonomic Deployment Engine is installed and configured, enter a location for the server. Then, click Next.
- Select ICM Integrator from the list of available components and click Next. If there is not a WebForm Translator server installed on a remote server, you must select to install the WebForm Translator component too. The details for how to install the WebForm Translator server can be found in the Webform Server 8 documentation.
- On the Decisions panel, select ICM Integrator 5.2 for use with IBM Case Manager Version 5.2 and click Next.
- Provide the path to the installation location for IBM Case Manager and click Next.
- Click Install to complete the installation.
What to do next
In a cluster or network deployment environment, run both the Create Case Manager Applications and Deploy Forms Application tasks on the deployment management server. If you integrate with IBM Forms 8.1 or earlier, you must also run the tasks on each managed node and restart the application server cluster after you run the tasks on the last node. If you integrate with IBM Forms 8.2 or later, you do not need to run the tasks on the managed nodes or restart the application server cluster.
