Offerings, add-ons, and agents

Performance Management agents are available in the offerings and add-ons. Specific offerings are required for add-ons.

As shown in Figure 1, Application Performance Management Advanced is the most comprehensive offering, the one that includes all agents. Application Performance Management is a subset of the Advanced offering. Monitoring is a subset of Application Performance Management. And Application Diagnostics contains some agents that overlap with the other offerings and some that are unique to Diagnostics.

The add-ons for the offerings are also shown in Figure 1. The add-ons are the same for both the Cloud and on premises products, except for Website Monitoring and Operations Analytics - Predictive Insights, which are add-ons only for Cloud. For the Application Performance Management and Application Performance Management Advanced on-premises offerings, Website Monitoring is built in and Operations Analytics - Predictive Insights is a separate product.

IBM® Application Performance Management Advanced

This offering combines IBM Monitoring, IBM Application Performance Management, and IBM Application Diagnostics into one offering.

The offering contains agents that you use to monitor applications and other resources that are installed in your enterprise.

IBM Application Performance Management

This offering is for end user experience, transaction tracking, and resource monitoring of all your application components. Application Performance Management is useful for managing your critical applications in production.

The offering contains agents that you use to monitor applications and other resources that are installed in your enterprise.

IBM Monitoring

This offering is for resource monitoring of infrastructure, application components, and cloud workloads. Resource monitoring helps you identify and address slow transactions, capacity issues, and outages.

The offering contains agents that you use to monitor applications and other resources that are installed in your enterprise.

IBM Application Diagnostics

This offering is for code level visibility into your applications and the health of your application servers. Use the diagnostics dashboards to find performance bottlenecks in the application code.

The offering contains agents that you use to monitor applications and other resources that are installed in your enterprise.

SAP Extension Pack

This extension pack contains the Monitoring Agent for SAP HANA Database. Use this agent to monitor the SAP HANA database. This extension pack is available if you have one of the following offerings:

• IBM Application Performance Management
• IBM Application Performance Management Advanced

Data Analytics Extension Pack

This extension pack contains the Monitoring Agent for Hadoop. Use this agent to monitor a Hadoop cluster. This extension pack is available if you have one the following offerings:

• IBM Monitoring
• IBM Application Performance Management
• IBM Application Performance Management Advanced

Infrastructure Extension Pack

This extension pack contains the Monitoring Agent for Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. Use this agent to monitor your virtual desktop infrastructure. This extension pack is available if you have one of the following offerings:

• IBM Monitoring
• IBM Application Performance Management
• IBM Application Performance Management Advanced
