CIM configuration

Details about CIM configuration properties.

If you define a CIM data source in your agent, CIM configuration properties are added to the agent automatically. You can view, add, and change the configuration properties by using the Agent Editor. For instructions, see Changing configuration properties by using the Agent Editor). If a CIM data source is defined in a subnode, specify Subnode Configuration Overrides. For instructions, see Subnode configuration.

The following connection-specific configuration properties are on the CIM configuration page:
CIM Local or Remote
Local or remote authentication to the CIM server. Local/Remote Default value is Remote
CIM user ID
The user ID used to access the CIM server
CIM password
The password to access the CIM server
CIM host name
The host name to be accessed for CIM data
CIM over SSL
Use SSL for communication with the CIM server. The options are Yes and No. The default value is No.
CIM port number
The port number that is used for communication that is not secure.
CIM SSL port number
The port number that is used for secure communication. The default value is 5989. (The default value for Solaris 8 is normally different.)
