Create a customer entitlement rule
You can create entitlement rules to either include or exclude items based on category, attribute values, or lists of items.
About this task
You can create a customer entitlement rule to either include or exclude items that are assigned to customers under customer entitlements. For example, you can create an item entitlement rule such that customers can buy all the items under the Electronic category, excluding items with attribute value 240 volts. Therefore, if there are 100 items within the Electronic category, and 20 of them have the 240 volts value assigned to the voltage attribute, only the remaining 80 items will be available to the customer.
You can create entitlement rules to either include or exclude items, based on the following parameters:
- Category - This indicates that all the items under a particular category are applied.
- Attribute Values - This indicates that all the items with the assigned attribute value are applied.
- List of Items- This indicates that all the items within a specific list of items are applied.
You can create a customer entitlement rule from the Customer Entitlement screen.
