Can I install language packs after my initial installation?

Answer: Yes.

Simply return to the installation flow for your licensed products and reenter the process there. Remember, the process will include rebuilding and redeploying.

Adding language packs (GUI-based installation on Windows, UNIX, or Linux)

This procedure assumes that you have completed an initial installation of Sterling Call Center, a process that included installing IBM Installation Manager.

Procedure

  1. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Click Modify.
  3. Select the product for which you want to install the new language packs. Click Next.
  4. The Features page displays the list of features for which the selected language pack will be installed. Click Next.
  5. . Click Modify. A progress indicator displays the percentage of installation completed. The Summary page indicates the packages being modified.
  6. Click Finish to complete the language pack installation.
  7. Run the scripts to load the language packs.
  8. Rebuild and redeploy the EAR file.

Adding language packs (Text-based interactive installation on Windows, UNIX, or Linux)

This procedure assumes that you have completed an initial installation of Sterling Call Center, a process that included installing IBM Installation Manager.

Procedure

  1. Execute the imcl command as follows:
    • Windows<IM_INSTALL_DIR>\eclipse\tools\imcl.exe -consoleMode
    • UNIXLINUX<IM_INSTALL_DIR>/eclipse/tools/imcl -consoleMode
    Here,
    <IM_INSTALL_DIR>
    Indicates the directory where the IBM Installation Manager is installed.
  2. Type 3 to modify or change installed software packages and press Enter.
  3. Type the number associated with the product for which you want to install the new language packs and press Enter.
  4. Type N and press Enter.
  5. Type the number associated with the language for which you want to install the Application Server language pack translations.
    Make a selection and press Enter. After you have selected one option, the prompt is displayed again. You can either choose another option (2, 3, or 4) or press Enter to accept the default (N) and continue to the next step. After selecting the required languages for installation, type N and press Enter.
  6. The Features section displays the list of features for which the selected language pack will be installed. Type N and press Enter.
  7. The Summary page indicates the packages being modified. Type M and press Enter to complete the language pack installation. A progress indicator shows the percentage of installation completed. After the installation is complete, the installation status is displayed.
  8. Run the scripts to load the language packs.
  9. Rebuild and redeploy the EAR file.
