Enabling the Oracle database text search feature - overview

Sterling™ Call Center supports two types of text search indexes on Oracle databases: CTXCAT and CONTEXT. The CTXCAT index supports automatic updating of text search indexes, whereas the CONTEXT index does not support automatic updating of text search indexes.

IBM® recommends that you use the CTXCAT index.
