Create a return pickup service in Sterling Business Center

A return pickup service is used to define a pickup service from a customer, in case the customer wants to return an item. A return pickup item is uniquely defined by its service ID and unit of measure.

About this task

You can create a return pickup service from the Create Service screen.

To create a return pickup service:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Create Service screen. To navigate to the Create Service screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
    3. From the Products home page, click New Service in the Catalog dashlet.

      The Create Service screen is displayed.

  2. In the Create Service screen that is displayed, perform the following steps:
    1. In the Select the type of service to be created area, select the Return Pickup radio button.
    2. In the Service ID* text box, enter the unique service identifier.
    3. From the UOM list, select the unit of measure for the service.
    4. From the Service Type* drop-down list, select the service type.

      Depending on the Service Type* you have selected, the Capacity UOM text box is populated with the capacity unit of measure that is associated with the selected service type.

    5. Click Save.
      Note: * indicates that the field is mandatory.

      The service is created and the Primary Information screen is displayed.
