Creating a carrier service

You can create a carrier service.

About this task

To create a carrier service:

1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, go to Logistics Management > Logistics > Shipment Planning. The Shipment Planning window is displayed.
2. In the Routing Guides panel, select the appropriate routing guide from the list and click the Details icon.
3. In the Routing Guide Details window, click the Routing Guide Lines tab.
4. In the Search Results list, select the appropriate shipping details and click the Details icon.
5. In the Routing Guidelines Details window, in the Carrier Services panel, click the Create icon. The Carrier Services window is displayed.
6. Enter the carrier services information provided in the following table:

   Field value descriptions

   Field	Description
   Priority	Enter a number to determine the carrier priority rule to be followed. When a shipment is compared to the routing guide lines, two carrier services might be used. In such a situation, the carrier priority serves as a tie breaker. The carrier service with the lowest number is used.
   Carrier/Service	Select the appropriate carrier or service code.
   Break Bulk Node	Select the break bulk node that is close to the buyer.
   Contact Address	Specify the address information of the carrier service contact person. Click the Details icon to change the contact address.

7. Click the Save icon.
