Browsing products

You can browse for a specific product and view its details.

1. Log on to Sterling™ Call Center. The Home page opens.
2. Go to the Product Browsing screen in one of the following ways:
   • In the Related Tasks panel, click Product Browsing.
   • In the Products panel, in the Keyword field, enter a keyword for the product that you want to browse, and click Find Product.
     • If your search results in a single product, the Product Details screen opens.
     • If your search results in multiple products, the Product Browsing screen opens. In the search field, enter a keyword for the product, and click Go.
       Note: If you have access to multiple enterprises, a list of enterprises is displayed. Otherwise, the default enterprise is considered.

       A list of products that matches the keyword is displayed. Use the options in the Categories and Narrow By panels appropriately to refine your search. As you narrow down the search by categories, the navigation path is displayed as bread crumbs, each of which is a hyperlink. For example, if you narrow down the search by clicking the "Desktop" category in the Categories panel, and "120 GB hard disk drive" attribute in the Narrow By panel, the bread crumb is displayed only as Desktop. If you click any bread crumb, the subsequent bread crumbs are no longer shown. You can also narrow down the search based on price range. For example, you can search for products that are within the price range of $200 to $500

       .

   To browse for a specific product in the Products Browsing screen, do the following steps:

   1. If an enterprise list is displayed, select the appropriate enterprise. In the Search field, enter a keyword for the product that you want to view and click Go.
   2. In the Categories panel, the number of products that belong to each category is shown alongside. Click the category or subcategory to which the product belongs. The list of products that belong to the selected category is displayed. To further narrow your search results, click an appropriate attribute in the Narrow By panel. The attributes in the Narrow By panel change, based on the category selected. For example, if you select apparel as the category, the narrow by attribute can be color or size.

   The total number of products that are retrieved as a result of the search is displayed in the upper left corner of the panel.

   If the search results span across multiple pages, the page numbers are shown, and the current page number is highlighted.

   In the upper right corner of the panel, you can select the number of products that you want to see on a page. The current page size is highlighted while other possible values are shown alongside. You can select a different value.

   You can do the following tasks on the Product Browsing screen:

   • You can view the product details such as the product image, a brief description of the product, price, unit of measure, allowed delivery methods, and availability. You can also view the stores where the product is available.
   • To go to a page, click the <page number> link. Alternatively, you can click < to go to the previous page or click > to go to the next page.
   • Click Add to Order corresponding to the product that you want to add to the order.
     • If you do not have any existing draft orders open, a new order is created and the product is added to the order.
     • If a single draft order is open, the product is added to the draft order.
     • If multiple draft orders are open, the Add To Order window is displayed. Select the draft order to which you want to add the product and click Select or click Create New Order, if you want to create an order.
