An introduction to subcatalog organization

A subcatalog organization is an enterprise that is authorized by a catalog organization to manage one or more categories within the master catalog, and define the catalog entitlements that grant or restrict other organization’s access to categories within the master catalog. A subcatalog organization can either be a vendor enterprise or a seller enterprise.

Subcatalog organizations can perform the following functions:

• Manage the categories that have been assigned to the subcatalog organizations within the master catalog
• Manage the items that have been assigned to the subcatalog organizations within the categories in the master catalog
• Assign catalog organization attributes to categories
• Assign items from the master catalog to the subcatalog organization’s categories.

You can only add organizations to a subcatalog organization list that are already configured in the Applications Manager.

You can add an organization as a subcatalog organization from the Subcatalog Organizations screen.
