Creating a user group

You can create a user group.

About this task

To create a user group:

Procedure

  1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, choose Security > Groups. The Groups window displays in the work area.
  2. Choose the Create New icon. The Group Details window displays.
  3. Enter information in the applicable fields. Refer to Table 1 for field value descriptions.
  4. Choose the Save icon.

    User group field value descriptions

    Field Description
    Group ID Enter the user group ID.
    Group Name Enter the user group's name.
    Group Description Enter a description about the user group.
    Group Type From the drop-down list, select a group type that you want to associate with the user group. You can select either:
    • INTERNAL - Indicates that the users belonging to this user group are internal users.
    • EXTERNAL - Indicates that the users belonging to this user group are Web channel users.
