Creating a consumer customer

You can create a consumer customer record to register the customer with an organization, identify, and add the customer easily when you create an order.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Sterling™ Call Center. The Home page opens.
  2. In the Customer panel, click Create Consumer. The Create Consumer window opens.
    If you have access to multiple enterprise, you can select the enterprise for which you want to create the consumer. Otherwise, the consumer is created for the enterprise to which you are logged in.
  3. In the First name field, enter the first name of the customer.
  4. In the Last name field, enter the last name of the customer.
    Additionally, you can enter the following information for the customer:
    • In the Contact Information panel, you can enter other details such as telephone numbers, status, title, and so on.
    • In the Demographics tab, you can enter the customer's date of birth, wedding anniversary, and so on.
  5. Click Confirm. The Customer Details screen is displayed.
