Configuring user interface payment handling

You can specify whether external payments are external to the call center, store, or external to both.

1. In the Channel Applications Manager, click the Expand icon adjacent to Configure Order Administration to expand the branch.
2. Click the Advanced Configurations link.
3. Select Configure User Interface Payment Handling.
4. Check the appropriate box to specify if payment is handled externally to the call center or the store user interface. The following table describes the fields in the Configure User Interface Payment Handling window.

   Field	Description
   Payment is External to the Call Center	Select this box to specify that Application ServerIBM® Sterling™ Call Center and Sterling Store Engagement (Legacy) handles payments externally to the Call Center. When this option is selected, Sterling Call CenterIBM Sterling Call Center and Sterling Store Engagement (Legacy) does not prompt the user to enter payment information when creating or modifying an order at the call center. It is assumed that the payment is handled in the store or by an external system such as a point-of-sale system. Note: If you check this box, ensure to check the "Payment is External to the Store" box.
   Payment is External to the Store	Select this box to specify that Application ServerIBM Sterling Call Center and Sterling Store Engagement (Legacy) handles payments externally to the Store. When this option is selected, Sterling Call CenterIBM Sterling Call Center and Sterling Store Engagement (Legacy) does not prompt the user to enter payment information when creating or modifying an order in the store. It is assumed that the payment is handled at the call center or by an external system such as a point-of-sale system.

5. Click the Save icon to save your changes.
   Note: If payment is handled externally, ensure to remove permissions for the Add Payment, View Payment Details, and Change Payment Method tasks.
