IBM® FileNet® P8 4.0 provides business process management (BPM) services for business process management applications. The FileNet® P8 process engine records events associated with running processes into the P8 event log database and into the event logs in the process engine database. The FileNet P8 BPM Common Base Event adapter EAR file deployed on WebSphere® reads this data and converts the process engine events to Common Base Events, and then sends the converted events to the IBM® Business Monitor server through the CEI layer.
