Determining the models a user can access

Perform administrative data security functions for a particular model. From the Diagnose tab, you can determine the monitor models a user has access to and the roles that user has within each model. You can search the repository for a user or a group of users.

Before you begin

You must have administrative privileges to perform Monitor data security administrative tasks.

About this task

To access this administrative console page, click Security > Monitor Data Security > Diagnose. Then select a resource group.

You can also access this page for a particular monitor model by clicking Applications > Monitor models. Then select the model and click Change resource group > Diagnose.

Procedure

  1. From the Diagnose tab, in the Search for field, enter a user ID to search for.
  2. Optional: In the Maximum results field, enter the maximum number of users that you want displayed.
  3. Click Search. All users matching the search criteria are listed.
  4. Select a user. The models that the user can access and the roles the user has within each model are displayed.
Note: If a user has access to a model through multiple roles, the search lists each role on a separate line in the table. Therefore, the same role might be displayed multiple times. For example, if the user is authorized as a KPI administrator and the group the user is in is also authorized as a KPI administrator, the KPI administrator role is listed twice.
