Extending a network deployment environment using the Deployment Environment wizard
You can extend your deployment environment in the following two ways:
- Adding cluster members
- Adding deployment environments
This is described in the following sections.
Adding cluster members
The easiest way to expand your infrastructure is to add more cluster members to your existing clusters. You can add cluster members to each cluster independently or in combination, depending on where you see the need for growth. You can add an application cluster member, a messaging cluster member, or both. By expanding your clusters this way you can improve your application throughput, your message throughput, or both.
Complete the following steps to add cluster members:
- Log into the administrative console. Ensure that the user has appropriate privileges to update the deployment environment.
- Click .
- Click New to add a cluster member. (You can also select a cluster member and then click Delete to delete it.)
Adding deployment environments
You can add two independent deployment environments for your applications in the same cell. However, you can add only one Process Center-based deployment environment in a single cell.
Complete the following steps to add deployment environments:
- Log into the administrative console. Ensure that the user has appropriate privileges to update the deployment environment.
- Click .
- Click New to add a deployment environment.
