Before you upgrade your existing databases,
create backup copies. You can use backups to revert to the premigration
state of the databases at any time, if necessary.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have shut down the source environment
before you proceed with the migration.
Procedure
- Verify that sufficient space exists to back
up your databases. The size that is required for the backups depends
on the size of your production databases and the specifics of your
database backup strategy.
- Back up your existing IBM® Business Process Manager databases,
using the backup utilities for your database software. If you ran the BPMExtractDBConfiguration utility
to extract the database information, you can use the output file from
that command to find the names of all the databases that you must
back up.
Note: You must create a backup of all the databases that your
source environment was using.
