The following information contains a summary of the IBM Bob Premium Package for Z system configurations. System requirements can vary depending on the size and purpose of your deployment.

Dedicated database server for Z Understand	Intel XEON Dual processor with minimum of 4 cores each, 3 GHz or higher, with Turbo support	64 GB of RAM	Dedicated hard disk drive for the operating system, minimum 500 GB. Secondary dedicated hard disk drive for data, minimum 2 TB.	One of the following relational database servers, to be installed on a separate dedicated machine (recommended): Microsoft SQL Server.
Z Understand Eclipse client	Intel i5 or equivalent.	Minimum 8 GB of RAM.	20 GB allocated disk space.
Z Understand Linux container	Linux®: Intel XEON Dual processor with minimum of 4 cores each, 3 GHz or higher, with Turbo support Linux on System z®: 4 Integrated Facility for Linux (IFLs)	32 GB RAM minimum	Dedicated hard disk drive for the operating system, minimum 500 GB. Secondary dedicated hard disk drive for data, minimum 2 TB.	Red Hat® Enterprise Linux (RHEL), running on x86 or s390x platform Podman version 5 (recommended) or 4.
Refactoring services (Z Understand)	4 cores Linux on IBM Z: 2 Integrated Facility for Linux (IFLs)	16 GB	500 GB	Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8. Required tools and packages Podman version 4 or later podman-plugins package openssl command key tool command (from Java™ 8 Runtime Environment). Supported Internet browsers (used for accessing Z Understand) Google Chrome (recommended) Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Edge.
