Adding and managing users
You can invite new users to your account, manage invitations, and archive or restore user access.
Adding users
Editors can invite users by clicking Invite new users in the product interface footer (bottom-left corner). Enter the email address or addresses of people that you want to invite, select their user type, and click Send Invite.
Admins can also invite users from the Admin page:
- In the Admin page, go the User management tab and click Invite user.
- To add users manually, in the Manual invitation tab:
- Enter one or multiple email addresses separated by commas and click Add.
- Select the user type for each email address: Editor, Contributor, Community member, or Viewer. For more information about access and permissions for each user type, see User types and licenses.
- Optionally, select a business unit to identify which organization or group these users are part of.
- To add a large number of users at once, switch to the Bulk invitation tab:
- Download the CSV template and populate it with email addresses, the user types for each user's address, and optionally their business unit.
- Click Add file to upload the populated template.
- Click Invite. An email is sent to the addresses that you provided, which contains a link and instructions to activate the user ID in the account.
Resending an expired invitation
- In
tab, find the user that you want to reinvite in the list of active users. Click the
Options
menu at the end of the row.
- Click Resend Invitation. A new invitation email is sent and the link in the previous invitation email is no longer active. Invitation links expire five days after they are sent.
Archiving and restoring users
To archive a user and remove their access to your Blueworks Live account:
- In tab, select the Active view to see the list of users who have access to the account.
- In the row for the user you want to archive, click the Options
menu.
- Click Archive user, then Archive in the confirmation window.
To restore access to the account for an archived user:
- In the User management tab, select the Archived view to see the list of archived users.
- In the row for the user you want to restore, click the Options
menu.
- Click Restore user.
- If prompted, select whether you want to restore the user with all their previous permissions, or restore only the user's access with no permissions, then click Restore. The default action when restoring a user can be configured from the page.
