Importing process blueprints

You can import process blueprints authored in another IBM Blueworks Live account or process documents authored in a different process modeling environment.

Blueworks Live supports the following types of imports:
  • Microsoft Visio XML diagram (.vdx or .vsdx)
  • Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0)
  • XML Process Definition Language (XPDL 2.1)
To import into Blueworks Live:
  1. Open the space you want to import the document into and click Import.
  2. Select the type of document you are importing and browse to the file to be imported.
  3. Blueworks Live presents you with a list of artifacts detected in the selected file. Review the list of items. If you are importing a Microsoft Visio XML diagram, you are presented with a list of mappings to configure. For each Visio shape, choose what corresponding type of Blueworks Live element should be created.
  4. Click Import to begin the import.
