Documenting policies
You can document corporate policies and governmental regulations that influence your company's processes and decisions. As a result, you can track compliance across your business. In addition, when a policy or regulation changes you can easily access which processes or decisions are impacted.
- To create a policy from within a space, click .
- To create a policy from the Library page, click Create New Policy.
To document a policy, add a description of the policy. If the policy description is lengthy, provide a brief summary. If the policy is short, describe the entire policy.
- To add an attachment, click . In the window, select the documentation that you want to upload.
- To add a link, click . In the window, enter the name for the link and the URL.
After you have created your policy, you can link to it from a decision or a process blueprint. In the process blueprint or decision, right-click an element in the diagram, and select Details. In the Policies tab, select the policy to associate with that element. You can also associate policies with an entire process blueprint by right-clicking anywhere in the background of the process diagram to bring up the Details view for the overall diagram.
To move or copy multiple policies from the Library or Space Overview page, use Ctrl+click or Cmd+click to select each of them. Or, select the first policy and then use Shift+click to select the last policy and all policies in between. Release the key and click the drop-down menu at the top of one of the selected policies to specify Move or Copy.
