Blueprinting a process

A process blueprint describes a business process, including details about the activities in the process, the people who perform or know about the activities, the milestones that activities are performed in, and so on.

There are a few ways you can create a new process blueprint:
  • You can import an existing process diagram from outside of Blueworks Live, including diagrams authored in Microsoft Visio, in an XML process diagramming language, or in a BPMN authoring tool.
  • You can import one of the template processes provided in the Blueworks Live Library page by selecting the process you want and clicking Import.
  • You can create a new process blueprint from scratch. To create a process blueprint from within a space, open the space and click Create New > Process Blueprint.

To move or copy multiple process blueprints from the Library or Space Overview page, use Ctrl+click or Cmd+click to select each of them. Or, select the first process and then use Shift+click to select the last process and all processes in between. Release the key and click the drop-down menu at the top of one of the selected processes to specify Move or Copy.
