Configuring IBMid authentication

IBM® Registration ID (IBMid) is the default authentication method for Blueworks Live.

For more information about IBMid, see IBMid External link opens a new window or tab.

As an account admin, you can disable this authentication method at the account level, but only if Blueworks Live authentication or SSO (or a combination) are enabled for the same set of domains.

To enable and configure IBMid authentication for an account, open the Admin page, and go to Settings > Security > IBMid and make the changes.

You can also change the session duration. The default user session lasts for 720 minutes (12 hours). When the session expires, the user is logged out of Blueworks Live, even if their screen is still open in the browser, and must log back in to Blueworks Live to continue working. You can keep the default or enter a value between 60 minutes (1 hour) and 720 minutes (12 hours).
