Enabling application usage monitoring on agents

You can use the Endpoint Manager console to list applications for which you want to enable application usage monitoring.

1. In the navigation bar of the Endpoint Manager console, click Sites > External > IBM Software Inventory > Subscribed computers.
2. Right-click the name of a computer and then click Edit Computer Settings.
3. If the value of the _BESClient_UsageManager_EnableAppUsageSummary parameter is set to 0, change it to 1.
4. Enable tracking for all applications, by specifying the following value for the _BESClient_UsageManager_EnableAppUsageSummaryApps parameter:

   Optionally, you can include or exclude applications. Use a colon to delimit the names. Use the + and - signs to include or exclude applications, for example:

   -:

   Track all applications

   -:application1:application2

   Track all applications but application1 and application2

   +:application1:application2

   Track the listed applications
5. Click OK.
