Prerequisites to BPM event emitter installation

Before you can configure the BPM event emitter, download and install the product and its interim fixes, and make sure you have the necessary configuration files.

Before you begin

Install IBM® Business Automation Insights by completing the steps in Installing a stand-alone Business Automation Insights deployment External link opens a new window or tab. Alternatively, if you are running Cloud Pak for Business Automation, follow the installation instructions starting with Installing Business Automation Insights External link opens a new window or tab.

Then, configure your working environment as follows.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that you use the latest versions of the emitter and script.

    See Updating the BPMEventEmitter.war file.

  2. Make sure that the following files exist.
    File name Location
    BPMEventEmitter.war workflow_install_root/BPM/analytics
    EnableBAI.py workflow_install_root/BPM/Lombardi/tools/def
    BAIConfigure.properties workflow_install_root/BPM/Lombardi/tools/def
    For BPEL process and human task events:

    setStateObserver.py

    		 workflow_install_root/ProcessChoreographer/admin
