The XML map editor provides XSLT and XPath functions as primary transformations. XSLT 1.0 and XSLT 2.0, XPath 1.0 and XPath 2.0 functions are provided.
An XML map must contain either XSLT 1.0 (and XPath 1.0) or XSLT 2.0 (and XPath 2.0) functions.
Important: As of V18.0.0, the new XSLT implementation performs stricter validation than preceding releases. Ensure your stylesheets comply with the XSL Transformations (XSLT) Version 1.0 External link opens a new window or tab specification or the XSL Transformations (XSLT) Version 2.0 (Second Edition) External link opens a new window or tab specification.
When the XML map is set to generate a business object map, it can contain a subset of these functions.

In the map editor, you can filter the function set to see only the version of functions that you want to use, and you can set the XML map to generate XSLT in the required format.
