Synchronizing snapshots
Use the Process Admin Console to copy
settings from one snapshot to another. You can copy the settings for environment variables, team
bindings, exposed process values, server configurations, and REST bindings.
About this task
To copy settings from a selected snapshot to the current snapshot, complete the following steps.
Procedure
- Open the Process Admin Console and select the installed snapshot that you want to sync.
- Click Sync Settings in the console to open the Sync Settings - Select Snapshot to Sync From window.
- Select the snapshot from Snapshot to copy data from
menu. By default, all settings for environment variables, team bindings, exposed process values, server configurations, and REST bindings are copied from the selected snapshot.
- Optional: Customize the list of settings to select only the settings that you want to copy.
- Click Sync. All selected settings are copied from the specified snapshot to the current snapshot.
What to do next
You can also update these settings at runtime by using the operations REST APIs, including the
/std/bpm/containers/{container}/versions/{version}/env_vars/sync API, which works
for environment variables and server configurations. For more information, see Operations REST API.
