Converting project artifacts
In container environments, you convert project artifacts so they run in this environment.
The Project Conversion tab appears when artifacts need conversion. Use this
tab to review and fix issues so that your project can run successfully in the container
runtime.
Before you begin
Consider creating a version of your project as a backup before you start converting artifacts.
About this task
When you open a project in Process Designer, if there are artifacts that are not compatible with the container environment, use the Project Conversion tab to identify and resolve issues so that the project can be installed and run in the container runtime environment.
The Project Conversion tab includes the following sections:
- Toolkit Dependencies: Lists dependent toolkits that have compatibility issues.
- Conversion Actions: Lists artifacts that require conversion, manual fixes, or deletion.
Procedure
- Open the project in Process Designer.
- If your project contains artifacts that are not compatible with the container environment, the Project Conversion tab is displayed in the Process App Settings editor.
- Select the Project Conversion tab.
- In the Toolkit Dependencies section, resolve any incompatible toolkit versions by changing to a compatible version or updating the toolkit as needed.
- In the Conversion Actions section, review the list boxes for UI, BPD, or Service Conversion Required, Manual Fixes Required, Other Conversions Required, and Deletions Required. Complete the following actions as needed:
- For conversion lists: Select one or more artifacts and click Convert.
- For manual fixes: Hover over the artifact link for details, open the artifact in the appropriate editor, and fix the critical errors. Use the Validation errors and warnings view to track issues.
