By default, the Content Cortex Component Manager service user credentials are used for authentication with a web service on IBM® Business Automation Workflow. However, you can use the Component Manager in Process Task Manager to configure different credentials for the web service.

About this task

When you associate a task with a business process, IBM Business Automation Workflow adds a partner link reference to the XPDL file for the solution. In the runtime environment, the partner link reference identifies the business process that is to be started when the task is started.

Important: SSL support in the Content Cortex environment is a systemwide configuration that governs all web service traffic into Content Platform Engine. Therefore, you must consider the ramifications on your overall system before you enable SSL.

Procedure

To specify different credentials for the web service:

  1. In Process Task Manager, expand the Component Managers node and click the connection point for the web service.
  2. Click the Web Services tab and then click the Advanced tab in the Web Services page.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Select the partner link reference for your web service.
  5. Enter the user name and password that are to be used to access the web service.
