Exporting process applications to BPMN 2.0
You can export your process applications to a Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
version 2.0 file format, which can be used with products that support the BPMN 2.0
import.
The export to the BPMN 2.0 file format offers only a high-level view
of the exported process flow. Data artifacts and semantic details, such as swimlanes, variables, and
properties of the exported processes are not included in the BPMN 2.0 exports.
Important notes:
- To export a project so that you can import it into another Workflow Center, use the export (.twx) file format. This format includes all the details for your process. See Importing and exporting projects.
- Process names must not include the colon
(:)character. - Process names must not include characters that are not supported in names on the operating system.
The following table shows the mapping between workflow objects and their equivalent elements in the BPMN 2.0 file format after export. If an object is not included in the table, the object is not exported. All the elements include the name and the description text. The description is included in a Documentation element.
