As part of WebSphere Application Server configuration, IBM® Business Automation Workflow persists many credentials in authentication aliases.

By default, the credentials are encoded. It is a good idea to enable optional custom encryption as described in Securing passwords in files External link opens a new window or tab .

To migrate an environment with custom password encryption enabled, follow the instructions in Enabling custom password encryption.
