Installing and configuring event emitters
After IBM® Business Automation
Insights is
configured, you install and configure the emitter that you need to send raw events to Flink jobs.
You can later update the configuration.
To configure your IBM Business Automation Insights custom resource (CR) for the first time, you use operators.
After you have configured an event emitter, take care of securing communications from that
emitter to Kafka. For more information, see Securing BPM emitter communications to Kafka

.Note: You might want to
process events that have been sent before the initial deployment of Business Automation Insights or before a
redeployment with no specification of the Flink persistent volume (PV). In this case, change the
Kafka offset by setting the bai_configuration.kafka.auto_offset_reset parameter
to earliest in the custom resource.
