You can use the locale preference setting provided in IBM® Process Designer to set the language used in a BAL Rule component.

About this task

The BAL Rule component language is set to English by default, but you can change the locale setting to change the language used in new BAL Rule components. Once the locale is set, you can create new BAL Rule components using the updated locale. However, if you add new rules to an existing BAL Rule component that was created before you changed the locale, the added rules use the locale setting from the BAL Rule component, not the updated locale preference setting.

Procedure

To change the locale setting, complete the following steps:

  1. From the main menu, click File > Preferences
  2. Click IBM BPM to display the available options.
  3. Click Rules.
  4. Click English next to BAL Decision Locale, then select a language from the menu.
