You need to set up autotracking before you can use the
ad hoc wizard. When autotracking is enabled for a process, data for
any nested processes of that process will also be tracked. Subprocesses
and services inherit the setting of the parent process.
About this task
To use autotracking, perform the following steps.
Procedure
- Open the process in Process Designer.
- Click the Tracking tab for the process.
- Ensure Enable Autotracking is selected.
- In the Autotracking Name field,
enter the name you want to use.
- In order to analyze process data according to particular
business variable values, set the variables as follows.
- Click the Variables tab for the diagram.
- For each variable you want to track, right click it
and then click Track this Variable.
- Click Save or
Finish Editing.
For details about declaring
variables for the client-side human services, see
Declaring variables
- To send the new tracking requirements to the Business Performance
Data Warehouse, in the Overview page of the Process
App Settings, click Update Tracking Definitions.
Results
When you run instances of the process, IBM® Business Automation Workflow stores
the tracked data for each variable in the appropriate column. Each
row in a Tracking Group view represents a discrete
unit of tracked data.
