Either use a people directory configuration (staff plug-in configuration) that supports the selected substitutionPolicy or select the substitutionPolicy 'NoSubstitution'. You can find the substitution settings in the human task editor of the task settings, in the Properties view, on the Details tab. Click the properties pages button in the top section of the canvas.
