When you import a project interchange file that contains modules from a previous version of IBM Integration Designer or WebSphere® Integration Developer, a migration wizard is automatically launched in IBM Integration Designer 26.x. If the project interchange file contains any projects that target a previous version of the server runtime, the migration wizard contains a wizard page that enables you to automatically update the projects to target the current server runtime of Integration Designer.

Note: The server runtime version that the modules and libraries will be migrated to shown in the Workspace Migration wizard is 18.0, as expected. Modules created in Integration Designer can be deployed to any supported version of Workflow Server. Integration Designer can connect to any supported version of Workflow Center. However, modules that contain a REST import that uses the OpenAPI 3.0 service specification can be deployed only to a server that is 21.0.1 or later.

About this task

Accept the default settings in the migration wizard to ensure that the correct server runtimes are targeted by your projects. Any projects that target the Workflow Server runtime are updated to target IBM Workflow Server.

Procedure

  1. Import the project interchange file that contains your modules. The Workspace Migration wizard opens to the Workspace Migration page.
  2. Click Next until the Undefined Server Runtime page of the wizard is displayed. Review the information that is displayed on the page.
  3. Accept the default settings and click Next to continue the migration process.
