When you run a test in the integration test client, the
events that occur in your test are recorded in a test trace. When
you have finished running your test, you can save the test trace to
a test trace file. You can later load the test trace into the integration
test client and rerun the test.
About this task
To save your test trace:
Procedure
- In the Events page or the Configurations page of the integration
test client, click the Save Test Client icon
. The Save Test Trace window opens.
- Complete one of the following steps:
- If you want the Project field to display
only component test projects, ensure that the Show only
test projects check box is selected. (It is recommended
that you save your test trace file in a component test project because
you may not want your testing artifacts to be deployed to a server
with a module.)
- If you want the Project field to display
all available projects, clear the Show only test projects check
box.
- In the Project field, select the
project where you want to save your test trace file.
- If you want to save the test trace in a different folder
than the default Execution Traces folder, clear
the Default check box and then complete one
of the following steps:
- If you want to save the test trace to an existing folder,
click Browse and then navigate to the folder
and select it.
- If you want to save the test trace to a new folder,
type the name that you want to assign to the new folder in the Folder field.
- In the Name field, accept the default
name or type the name that you want to assign to the test trace file.
- Click Finish. The test trace file
is saved to the selected project and folder.
- Click the Save Test Client icon
when you want to refresh your test trace in the test trace file.
