Creating the Process Federation Server database (deprecated)

Process Federation Server requires a database to store federated saved searches that are created in Process Portal. After you install Process Federation Server, the database scripts for creating the database are available in the installation directory. Customize the scripts for your database environment, for example, the schema name and the table spaces.

About this task

You can create the database as a dedicated Process Federation Server database or as Process Federation Server tables in an existing database. The following instructions assume you are using a dedicated database.
Attention:  25.0.1.0

Storing saved search definitions that are used by Process Portal in a relational database is deprecated with this version. To help ensure compatibility and future support, use the Federated Data Repository index as the data store for the Process Federation Server.

For more information on how to configure the Process Federation Server data store, see Configuring properties for the data store.

To migrate existing saved search definitions, see Migrating saved search definitions to a Federated Data Repository index.
