Configuring Dynamic Endpoint Patterns using Patterns Explorer

IBM® Integration Designer provides patterns to select from while creating an integration pattern for dynamic service routing using business rules. These business rules help determine the appropriate endpoint selection and routing. Each pattern includes a wizard that generates a rules-based endpoint selection pattern instance based on the parameters that you provide.

About this task

Patterns can be accessed through the Patterns Explorer. The Patterns Explorer helps you create an integration solution for common scenarios. The following are the available service gateway patterns:
  • Dynamic Endpoint selection
  • Service gateway
  • Service Virtualization
  • Simple service Proxy

Procedure

  1. Open Patterns Explorer in IBM Integration Designer.
  2. From the list of Patterns that appear on the left hand side panel on the Patterns Explorer, select your required pattern as shown in the illustration below.
List of Patterns on the Patterns Explorer.
A pattern specification view now opens. It provides documentation on the pattern and how it is used.
  3. Click the Create New Instance button.
The New Pattern Instance window opens.
