Using Work Basket Information

Use the Work Basket Information widget to define and update the settings for a work basket.

Procedure

  1. Define or update the general settings for the selected work basket on the General tab.
If you are defining the settings for a new work basket, you must specify an identifier, a name, a type, and an owner. The name must be a valid, unique name. The type can be one of the following types:
    Individual
The work basket belongs to a single user, for example, a personal work basket.
    Group
The work basket belongs to a group of users, for example, the accounting group.
    Topic
The work basket belongs to a business area, for example, claims. This work basket might then include tasks for health insurance claims and car insurance claims.
    Clearance
A task is routed to this work basket when a suitable work basket cannot be assigned to the task.

You can also specify a default task list that is associated with the work basket by clicking Look up, and selecting a task list. You can use this task list in your own enterprise applications.

  2. Assign roles to the work basket and the tasks associated with it.

On the Access tab, perform the following actions to give users and groups access to a work basket.

    1. Enter the name of the user or group, and click Add.
    2. Assign work basket roles, task roles, or both to the user or group.
    3. To remove the access to a work basket from users and groups, click the Remove icon.
  3. Assign the distribution targets.

Distribution targets are other work baskets to which tasks in the current work basket can be distributed. To assign and unassign distribution targets for the work basket, select the Distribution targets tab. Use the Up and Down arrows to assign or unassign the distribution targets.
