Deploying migrated solutions

Deploying a solution makes it available as an application in the target environment.

About this task

To deploy a solution, you must first deploy any IBM® external assets that were created outside of IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM FileNet® P8 tools. You then import FileNet P8 assets that must be deployed before the solution package is deployed. After you deploy the solution with IBM Business Automation Workflow, other assets that are managed by FileNet P8 must be deployed.

When you design and create a solution, you must decide what the solution locale is. The solution locale refers to the locale of display names, such as case properties, case types, activities, and other solution artifacts that you create with Case Builder. When you deploy the solution to a target environment for the first time, you must deploy the solution under the same locale to ensure that the display names are preserved.
