Default configuration
The default processing configuration transforms Content Platform Engine raw events into time series. All time series
are written to a single Opensearch index, regardless of the source object store. Optionally, you can
write time series to a dedicated Kafka topic by enabling the Kafka egress.
Default settings
- Transformation
- Raw events are transformed into time series. The result of the default transformation contains both business data and common data. For more information about the default format of raw events and time series, see Reference for Content events.
- Kafka ingress
- Raw events are consumed from a Kafka topic that is named
icp4ba-bai-content-ingress. - Opensearch egress
- Time series are written to an Opensearch index that is named
icp4ba-bai-content-timeseries. - Kafka egress
- Kafka egress is disabled by default. If you enable it, time series are written to the Kafka
topic that is named
icp4ba-bai-content-egress.
Default monitoring source
To monitor the result of the processing, Business Performance Center relies on a monitoring source
configuration. Business Automation Insights always
automatically creates a default monitoring source to monitor data from the
icp4ba-bai-content-timeseries Opensearch index. This default monitoring source is
named "Content" and is declared in the default Content processing configuration. Additionally, this
default monitoring source has a subcategory for all Content Platform Engine object stores that are used as sources for
emitted events plus a subcategory for each individual object store.
